This particular Full Moon could involve a certain degree of information overload which could be a bit overwhelming and confusing for us, as we struggle to see the wood for the trees. Full Moons are a very emotional time in the month when things come to a head and whatever has been bubbling away behind the scenes erupts into our consciousness, illuminated by the light of the Moon. Whatever started around the time of the New Moon now comes to fruition, demanding conscious realisation. This month, the New Moon in Scorpio was incredibly dark and disturbing on a collective level, as the lower side of the Scorpio experience was brought to the fore in the form of violence, betrayal, death and destruction. Since that fateful day on the 13th of November, when so much violence and destruction occurred on this planet of ours, we have been struggling to make sense of all that happened and have also been dealing with the aftermath in the general and also social media.
This is where the Gemini Full Moon comes in. Gemini rules the media, among other things, and has a tendency towards information overload! Over the past couple of weeks we have been bombarded with information, opinions and ideas relating to the events of the 13th and this Moon could bring it all to a head. Gemini is very restless, curious and talkative, so this Moon could be very busy and even frantic and it could be difficult to switch our minds off. Sitting directly opposite the Gemini Moon is the Sagittarius Sun and we are urged to find some balance between the energy of the two signs. Sagittarius is the world traveller, and asks us to look at the bigger picture and see things from a wider perspective. While Gemini involves taking in indiscriminate amounts of information from sources outside of ourselves, Sagittarius asks us to take a step back and go within in order to truly understand what we are being told. Within all of us there is a deep well of wisdom, an inner knowing, based on our own experiences and also on our intuition; our sixth sense. During this Moon we are asked to separate the wheat from the chafe; to take in the information we are being bombarded with and find the truth. This is not a time to be narrow minded.
The Sabian symbol for the Moon at 5° Gemini is “A revolutionary magazine asking for action.” This is a very evocative symbol considering all that is happening at the moment! Dane Rudyar says that this symbol represents “the explosive tendency of repressed feelings and root emotions” and further says that “what is rigidly bound in form and convention tends to explode into formlessness”. This symbol shows how all that we are seeing in the media is making it glaringly obvious what needs to change and what reforms are needed in society and the world. It is a call for revolution and for people to speak out and have their say. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 5° Sagittarius is “An old owl sits alone on the branch of a large tree.” There is much wisdom and peace in this image, and Dane Rudyar says this holds “the possibility of developing wisdom beyond tragedy, a peace and poise beyond conflict”. These two symbols sum up the energy of this Full Moon, because while one is very noisy, strong and active, the owl asks us to rise above it all and see beyond normal perception, beyond fear and the ego. It is important to be aware of the possibility of misinformation and to see past any propaganda, past what we are being told or shown, and connect with our hearts. All is not as it seems.
The Saturn Neptune square that has been slowly building over the last month or so is about to come to a peak and is very much a part of this Full Moon. Saturn is sitting right next to the Sun in Sagittarius, while Neptune is bearing down on both the Sun and the Moon, forming a T-square configuration. T-squares create tension and stress that lead to much needed change. Neptune is the planet of illusion and compounds the possibility of all not being as it would appear. We are being urged to fight through the Neptunian fog, past the smoke screens, and find the truth that resides in our hearts. All of the information we are taking in at this time could be very confusing and overwhelming and it may be very hard to separate truth from lies, fantasy from reality. Neptune is also forming a square to Mercury, the ruler of this Full Moon. As such, our minds could become a bit unclear and prone to deception. This combination can lead to faulty judgements and the tendency to lie to ourselves as well as being duped by others.
The struggle between Saturn and Neptune is acute at this point, as it is exact on the 29th of November. As the Full Moon peaks, so does the energy of the square. On one level it could be seen as a battle between the rigidity of religious conviction (Saturn in Sagittarius) and the sense that we are all one and all connected (Neptune in Pisces). Certainly the harsh light of reality is being pointed towards religion at the moment and it is very clear how social and religious conditioning as well as some clever propaganda can so easily create fear which leads intolerance, hatred and prejudice. What is real (Saturn) and what are lies (Neptune)? We are lead to believe that we are all separate, but that is an illusion because we all come from the same melting pot. What happens to one happens to us all, as Friday the 13th so clearly demonstrated. A homeopathic friend of mine sent me a message that day saying that it was bizarre - she had an inordinate amount of people calling up the homeopathic helpline suffering from extreme anxiety. Later on we discovered why. They were sensing the energy of the day. We are all connected.
The resolution to the T-square lies in the point opposite Neptune, as it completes the square. This point is in Virgo, the sign of discernment. Virgo asks that we separate the wheat from the chafe and decide what information we accept and what is simply fear based illusion. She asks that we leave behind the sense of being a helpless victim and find practical solutions. She prompts us to find a way to serve and help others in their hour of need. It is all very well feeling a sense of empathy and compassion for our fellow beings, but another thing altogether to find some concrete way of reaching out in the spirit of unconditional love. Mostly, however, Virgo could help us make sense of it all and decide what it real. She’s good at that.
The Sabian symbol for Neptune at 8° Pisces is “A girl blowing a bugle”, which represents “a call to participation in the service of the race, as an evolutionary crisis approaches.” This symbol speaks of the need to sound the call, to awaken people and make them aware of the reality of what is going on in the world. Dane Rudyar says of this symbol “A new race of human beings may well be slowly unfolding some of its potential of consciousness and fulfilment.” It is time for us to step up to the plate and also to see beyond fear and ego, like the wise owl. This symbol is resonant with the Gemini Moon symbol, as it awakens us all to the need for action. It is time to wake up. Those who are already awake need to help those who are still asleep to see and understand the truth. What has become exceedingly clear in the past couple of weeks is that we are dealing with a battle between fear based separation and One Love. Both have been equally present, as people’s compassion and empathy for human suffering has been awakened, partly by the awareness that it could so easily have been us. On the other hand, some people are allowing themselves to be played like puppets and are spewing ignorance, intolerance and hatred towards their fellow men and women. Which will win this battle? With all of my heart, I pray that it is One Love.
And this, from Aquarian visionary Bob Marley:
One Love! One Heart!
Let's get together and feel all right.
Hear the children cryin' (One Love!);
Hear the children cryin' (One Heart!),
Sayin': give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right;
Sayin': let's get together and feel all right.
Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (One Love!);
There is one question I'd really love to ask (One Heart!):
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner,
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own beliefs?
One Love! What about the one heart? One Heart!
What about - ? Let's get together and feel all right
As it was in the beginning (One Love!);
So shall it be in the end (One Heart!),
All right!
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right;
Let's get together and feel all right.
One more thing!
Let's get together to fight this Holy Armagiddyon (One Love!),
So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (One Song!).
Have pity on those whose chances grows t'inner;
There ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation.
Sayin': One Love! What about the One Heart? (One Heart!)
What about the - ? Let's get together and feel all right.
I'm pleadin' to mankind! (One Love!);
Oh, Lord! (One Heart) Wo-ooh!
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right;
Let's get together and feel all right.
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right;
Let's get together and feel all right.

Much Love
